2、chool of Material Science and Engineering,Abstract:Hydroxyapatite plate ceramic membrane with high performance for wastewater treatment was prepared throughphase inversion.The effects of sintering temperature and slurry solid content on morphology,sintering shrinkage,porosity,permeability and retent
3、ion of the ceramic membrane were studied.When the sintering temperature is 1200 C and the solidcontent of slurry is 44 wt.%,the porosity and sintering shrinkage of the membrane are 39.82%and 30.07%,respectively.The poresize was concentrated at 352 nm,the specific surface area was 2.23mgand the pore
4、volume was 0.01 cm-g.The bendingstrength and pure water flux can reach 11.63 MPa and 2817.23 Lm2h-bar,respectively.It has a stable osmotic flux of174.86 L-m-2.h-l-bar-and retention rate of 96.68%for 100 mgL-1 Congo Red dye solution.The static adsorption capacity ofCongo Red dye for 1 h was 2.46 mg:g

16、er,hollow fibermembranes have lower stability and shorterlife-span than plate membranes.Moreover,lessinformation is available for HA plate membranes inthe open literature.in this work,HA plate membranes werefabricated by phase inversion method,focusing on theeffects of slurry composition and sinteri
17、ng temperatureon microstructure,structure and water treatmentefficiency.At the same time,pollution types of the platemembranes were examined,thus providing theoreticalsupports to solve pollution issues.2Experimental2.1ChemicalsIndustry-level hydroxyapatite(HA)powderwas purchased from Shanghai Shunse
18、 TechnologyCo.,Ltd.It has a rod-like morphology,with length,diameter and aspect ratio of 200 nm,40 nm and 5,respectively.Anhydrous ethanol(analytical purity)was supplied by Tianjin Fengchuan ChemicalReagent Technology Co.,Ltd.Both Span 80(analytical purity)and Congo Red dye(analyticalpurity)were ord
19、ered from Tianjin Guangfu FineChemical Research Institute.N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(analytical purity)was purchased from TianjinKemio Chemical Reagent Co.,Ltd.Polyethersulfone(3000RP)was purchased from DongguanChangping Senhai Plastic Trading Co.,Ltd.2.2Fabricatin of HA plate membranesTo prepare soluti
20、on,6 wt.%polyethersulfone(PESf),1 wt.%Span 80 and a certain amount ofN-methylpyrrolidone(NMP)were dissolved in athree necked flask,with the aid of 60 C water bathand magnetic stirring.After that,HA(250 nm)powder was added the solution,followed by stirringfor 5 h and vacuum defoaming for 1 h.To obtai
21、n wet membranes,the slurry waspoured into blade,which was cast at a constantspeed.The wet membranes were put in waterimmediately,followed by soaking for 24 h.Themembranes were cut into small pieces,dried at roomtemperature for 12 h and then at 60 C for 12 h.Thedried samples were calcined at 600 C fo
22、r 2 h at aheating rate of 2 C-min-and then sintered at hightemperatures at a heating rate of 5 C-min-l,leadingto HA plate membranes.The fabrication process isshown schematically in Fig.1.2.3CharacterizationSurfaceandcross-section of the HAmembranes were characterized by using scanningelectron micros
23、copy(SEM,Phenom XL).Shrinkagerate of the samples was calculated according totheir thicknesses before and after sintering.Porosityof the membrane was measured by using theArchimedes method.A universal testing machine(CMT4503)was used to measure_mechanicalpropertiesof the samples,by adopting thethree-
24、point bending method.Permeation flux of themembrane and the rejection rate of Congo Red dyewere measured through cross flow filtration with alab-made water flux meter.The test pressure was0.625 bar and the liquid after 25 min was taken asthe retention sample.Concentrations of theintercepted solution
