　　By making marginal notes on a book, we mean "write between the lines" in the book when we read. Many people know that we have to "read between the lines" to get the most out of anything. In my opinion, "write between the lines" are even more important in the course of reading, and we are not likely to do the most efficient kindof reading unless we make marginal notes on the book.

　　Making marginal notes on the book is indispensable for the following reasons. First, it keeps us wide awake. If reading is aomplishing anything more than passing time, it must be active. We can't just let our eyes glide across the lines of a book and e up with an understanding of it. In the second place, reading, if it is active, is thinking, and thinking tends to express itself in words, spoken or written. The marked book is usually the thought through book. Finally, writing helps us remember the thought we had, or the thought the author expressed. The physical act of writing, with our own hand, brings words and sentences more sharply before our mind and preserves them better in our memory.

　　Where There Is a Will There Is a Way 有志者事竟成
　　“Where there is a will, there is a way” is an old proverb which almost everyone knows, but not all understand it so well. Actually, it means that if you are really resolved to do something, no matter how difficult it might be, never give up.

　　In fact, strong will is a kind of good quality which suessful people should own. A great man is always one who has a firm resolution and an inflexible spirit. For example, Dr. Sun Yatsen, the founder of the Republic of China, set the Chinese people free from the Manchurian rule through a long period of hard struggle. Many of his attempts failed and many of his followers were killed, but he had an inflexible spirit and stuck to his cause. Finally, he made the revolution of 1911 a suess. The same is true of men in all walks of life.

That stands to reason.So as for students like us, we should have a good attitude towards failure. Facing with difficulties and failures, keep heads up and never give up. Besides, we should make full preparation, though strong will help us overe the difficulties, it is not for person who has no preparation.
