2、view:Issues in SLA The linguistic development of the learner in the second languages,and it is a core phenomenon involving different interdisciplinary perspectives:psycholinguistics,socialinguistics,neurolinguistics,the classroom-centered research perspectives and the bilingual education perspective
3、.3.A full view of SLA:It is difficult for professors to tie them together in one course,to paint a big picture while doing justice to the details of individual research studies.Its even more difficult for new linguists and teachers in training to read such narrow articles and see the connections.4.T
4、wo historical milestones in the research:1.The Chomskyan revolution:the development of transformational-generative grammar which lets us abandon the behaviorist view of language as a set of habits and to adopt the notion that language is represented by an abstract set of rules that the speaker has i
5、nternalized from the language he or she hears.2.1967 saw Corders view on language development:error analysis which helps us study learners systematic errors and ignore the random mistakes.5.Psycholinguistics:Herbert SeligerHow does the learner develop their language and what are the processes involv
