Electricity and Our Life
Since its invention, electricity has found wide applications in industry, agriculture and scientific research. It is so essential to our daily life that , without electricity…we would not enjoy modern comforts because home appliances would not work. Generally speaking, there are three ways to save electricity…. First, we should produce electricity-saving home appliances. Second, remember to turn off the light when you leave a room. Competition and cooperation  

Competition is now a common phenomenon in our society. We compete when we play games, we try to do better than others in our study, and we often compete for jobs, customers, money, and so on so forth. To some extent, we can say, competition is an important motive force of our life.
We often find competition and cooperation occurring at the same time. For example, during a football game, one team is competing with the other, but each member of the team must cooperate with his teammates. In most cases, we can’t compete without cooperation. Therefore, competition and cooperation are equally important in our life.
While we are advocating competition, we can’t forget cooperation. In modern society, cooperation plays a very important part, because most work is finished with and through other people. So we must combine competition with cooperation in order to reach the “double win” goals successfully.

Internet frauds are an everyday occurrence. In view of all this, you are advised to use the Internet with wisdom. Keep it at a safe distance and never lose yourself.

For its convenience, the Internet has attracted people like magnets and some people even claim that it is indispensable. To them, life can’t go on without it. As for me, I don’t approve of unrestrained Internet reliance. There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years.  One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and  soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot.  Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect  the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution.  Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the  environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more  concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of  environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should  be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more  people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the  environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know  that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the  world. For example, cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and  poisonous gas is given off by factories. Trees on the hills have been cut down  and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. Furthermore,  wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. Pollution is,  in fact, threatening our existence.
The earth is our home and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves  and for our later generations. Fortunately, more and more people have realized  these problems. Measures have been taken to cope with these problems by the  government. Laws have been passed to stop pollution. I hope the problem will  be solved in the near future and our home will become better and better.

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the  world. With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make great  noises and give off poisonous gas. Trees on the hills have been cut down, and  waste water is being poured continuously in to rivers. Furthermore, wherever  we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. The whole ecological  balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has  brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's  existence.
We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our  environmental problems. For instance, new laws must be passed to place strict  control over industrial pollution, the public must receive the education about  the hazard of pollution and soon. We hope that all these measures will be  effective and bring back a healthful environment.

　　There are sound reasons for the limitation of private cars in China. First，it is self evident that the automobile contributes much to air pollution. In China，especially in large cities whose residents are more likely to buy private cars，the pollution of the air is already very serious. More private cars will inevitably aggravate the present situation. Second，private cars can be a formidable threat to the traffic. To tell the truth，today many people can afford a car，if a large number of private cars rush onto the streets，the already dense traffic will suffer more. Last but not the least，the automobile consumes energy. We always proudly claim our country is rich in natural resources. But in the mean time，we need to remember we also have a large population. We do have rich resources of energy，but speaking of energy，we can not smile with ease.

Then，by what means shall we limit private cars？Since people buy private cars mainly for convenience，my first suggestion is to develop adequate public transportation which is effective and punctual. At the same time，we should raise the price of gasoline to a prohibitive level so as to make car－driving expensive enough. All in all，private cars，from my point of view，should be limited in China.

Nowadays, any Chinese can enjoy the luxury of owning a private car - if he or she can afford it. Having a car of your own means no more traveling to work on crowded buses or subway trains, and you can drop off the children at school on the way. Moreover, it also means that you can enjoy the weekends and holidays better, because with a car you can go to places where the regular buses and trains do not go, and so you can find a quiet scenic spot with no crowds.
However, there are drawbacks to owning a car. For one thing, with the increase in car ownership in recent years, the roads are becoming more and more crowded, often making the journey to work more of a nightmare than a dream. For another, it is not cheap to run a car, as the prices of gasoline and repairs are constantly rising, not to mention the prices you have to pay for a licence and insurance coverage.
Having considered both sides of the argument, I have come to the conclusion that the advantages of owning a car outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, it seems to me that China should increase its output of automobiles and enlarge the private car market. The result would be that cars would become cheaper, while at the same time the extra demand would encourage the auto industry to produce more efficient and family-oriented vehicles.

There is no denying that our modern society is moving on four wheels. Owning a private car is a great thing. It makes going out more convenient and comfortable. But if my family has the plan to purchase a private car, to be frank, I will say “No”.
