PARKING
We don’t have our private parking, so we can’t guarantee you the place. There is paid public parking near us. From Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 18:00 you pay 0.6-1.0 EUR per hour, but on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and in the evening and night hours- parking is free.

Truman headed home from school，with the homework in mind, a report on beehives (蜂巢). Truman’s class had studied bees for three days, so he was ready. But, as his teacher Mrs. Lawrence had explained, to earn an A +，he needed a “new angle”.
Truman pushed open the front door to find his four-year-old brother, Bryan, sitting on the living room rag, hard at work. Paper towel tubes were all over the floor.
Bryan quickly stood up. “Truman, help me build a city!”
“I’d like to,” Truman replied, “but I have to do a report on beehives and ...”
“Can I help you?” Bryan begged.
“I don’t think so, Bry. Sorry.’’
“I know where there’s a beehive.” Bryan smiled.
“Where?”
“In the wood pile by the garage.’’
The boys marched to the firewood. Bending down, Bryan pointed out the hive deep inside the pile. Truman carefully removed the hive out.
“You got it!” Bryan shouted.
Back in the living room, Truman paced around, turning the weak hive under his nose. Each cell was a perfect hexagon(六边形). How did the bees fit the cells together so neatly? And how did they make each cell six-sided? Could they count? Lost in thought, his foot came down on something ...
“Truman! You’re ruining my city!”
“Get your stupid tubes out of here，Bryan! I’m trying to…”
The towel tubes（管子；试管）on the floor suddenly reminded him of something. The beehive!
Looking closer, he noticed the tubes were arranged with one in the middle, surrounded by six others, just like the cells of the hive.
Just to be sure, he tried five and then seven tubes surrounding the center tubes, but neither way fit. Six was the only number that worked.
“Bees don’t count to six,” he said aloud. “The cells have to be six-sided.
Truman ran to Bryan and threw his arms around his brother. “Bryan, you did it! Now I can build a model beehive with your tubes! I mean — if it’s O. K. with you.”

Maurice Mountain is a retired lawyer in Washington, D.C. He developed a device he calls the Presto Emergency Boat Ladder. His invention is a small folding ladder in a boat to help people who fall into the water. Mr. Mountain plans to mass-produce his boat ladder. He created his invention at a workshop called TechShop. Members of TechShop use high-tech equipment to develop and produce ideas they have for inventions. Mr. Mountain says TechShop permits people to turn their dreams into reality.
"I think it encourages innovation(创新). I think people who probably have had ideas rolling around in the back of their minds for years but have never had the opportunity to actually put them into production or even experiment with them would find this place wonderful."
Isabella Musachio manages a TechShop in Arlington, Virginia. She says the shop has many different kinds of equipment. "TechShop is a do-it-yourself studio. So when you come in we have all these different areas of the shop, and we have a metal shop, wood shop, plastic slab(平板), lasers, 3D printers, electronics, textiles. I mean, we have so many different areas and we have all this equipment that is provided to anybody above the age of 12 and up."
Membership costs for TechShop start at just over $100 per month. Members are able to use costly machines including 3D modeling tools and laser cutters. Isabella Musachio says TechShop helps its members build their dreams. "Our motto is ‘build your dreams here' because you can really come in with just an idea, and then with the help of TechShop make that leap from an idea to building your project or even your business."
U.S. President Trump spoke at the TechShop workshop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2018. He said that innovation is the first step to the future. He added that TechShop is giving people the tools they need to turn their ideas into reality."

Scientists are debating how to limit their newly-discovered power to change genetic structure. Scientists already change the genes of farm animals and agricultural plants to make them more productive or stronger. But now they can also change genes in wild animals and plants. These genes would continue into later generations. For example, it may be possible for scientists to remove from existence the kind of mosquitoes(蚊子) that carry the Zika virus(病毒). They might also be able to forever remove species of plants and animals that are destructive to other species.
In a report published last week, the U. S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NAS) said it supports continued research on this kind of gene control. But it warned that it is not possible to know what will happen when these changed plants and animals are set free into the wild.
Sixteen biologists, ethicists(伦理学家) and policymakers are on an NAS conference that is examining the problem. They say that there is value to the new technology. But, they say, there is not enough evidence to support the changed organisms from the laboratory into nature.
Many people would support stopping mosquitoes and rats from carrying diseases. But scientists say we must understand the possible scientific, legal and social results of such action before we decide whether to take it. Gene change is spread through reproduction(繁殖).
Changed genes will continue to spread as long as an animal or plant continues to reproduce. They cannot be limited to a farm or kept within a country's borders. Scientists are wondering what may happen if a changed organism mates with another species. They are not yet sure how the changed genes would affect the other species. It is possible that those genes could harm those creatures or even lead to their disappearance from our planet.
