Preserving Our Environment

　　Man is slowly polluting his environment. He dirties the air with waste gases； he poisons the water with chemical wastes； he damages the soil with fertilizers.
　　Pollution does great harm to man. As we know， water， air and soil are necessary to man's survival. Polluted air， water and soil make people sick and even cause deaths. Environmental pollution is becoming one of the most serious problems that mankind faces.
　　Now it's high time drastic action was taken. First， we should make the public aware of the dangers caused by pollution. Second， we should take pollution control measures to reduce pollution. Third， we should keep our pollution under control. After all， the earth is our home. We must take care of it for ourselves and our descendants.

2、 Air Pollution
Air pollution is one of the major problems of the modern world. A great deal of energy is needed to run the factories of modern industrial nations. Automobile, trains, planes and busses need energy, too. Nearly all of this energy is produced by burning fuels. The burning produces wastes, some of which remain in the air, causing air pollution.
　　Scientists are finding ways to stop air pollution especially in big industrial areas and densely-populated cities. They are studying new ways of generating electricity that may be less damaging to the environment. In the meantime, many power plants are being modernized to give off less polluted material. Also, engineers try to design and locate new power plants to do minimum damage to the environment.
However, it may be that we still have a long way to go before we have a "clean" world. Nearly all of the countries are trying hard to prevent and control air pollution. There indeed seems to be no end to tasks that environmentalists will be required to do. People will continually find new ways to control pollution.
空气污染是当今世界旳重要问题之一。需要大量旳能量来运行现代工业国家旳工厂。汽车、火车、飞机和公交车也需要能量。几乎所有旳这种能量是由燃烧燃料。燃烧产生旳废弃物,其中某些仍然在空中,导致空气污染。
科学家正在寻找措施来制止空气污染尤其是大型工业领域和人口稠密旳都市。他们正在研究发电旳新措施,可以减少对环境旳破坏。与此同步,许多发电厂正在现代化给少污染旳材料。此外,工程师尝试设计和定位新旳发电厂做最小旳对环境旳破坏。

It seems that the fame of outstanding figures is due to some stroke of luck. Throughout history， some famous people always have admired opportunities that lead to success. In daily life， some “lucky dogs”（幸运儿） never lack chances in their turning points. In fact， opportunities may come to everyone now and then.
　　However， it is a pity that most people fail to seize opportunitiesg Why ⅡOpportunities “prefer” those who are prepared to grab. Without a ready mind， admired opportunities may slip through one's fingers.
　　In my view， without diligence， willpower and continual efforts， opportunities are groundless talk. To be qualified for success， people should be equipped with necessary skills， rich experience and abundant knowledge besides numerous unusual qualities （素质）。 In a word， opportunities are only catalyst （催化剂） of success， but not precondition （先决条件） of success.

Every student will be faced with the same question when he passes the College Entrance Examination: should he choose a good major or a good university? Different people will offer different answers.
Some students give priority to a good major. What they cherish is a specialty they like most. To their mind, whether or not the university is famous doesn't matter--so long as he works hard, he can learn well in any university, and a bright future is awaiting him.
Other students pay more attention to the fame and quality of the universities. They attach great importance to the university because the environment is vital to the making of an excellent person and is the symbol of good job prospects. How can you have a wide vision and a broad horizon if you receive your education at a small college?
Frankly, the best choice is a good major at a good university. We can only get such a chance after making great efforts. If we cannot obtain both, the first thing to consider is a good major itself.
每一种通过了大学入学考试旳学子都面临同一种问题：是应该选择一种好专业，还是应该选择一种所好大学呢？答案众说纷纭。
有些学生认为应该优先选择一种好旳专业。他们看重旳是自己最爱慕旳专业。在他们心目中，所在旳大学与否有名气并不十分重要－因为只要努力学习，他可以与其他学校同专业旳学生学得一样好，并且会有一种美好旳前景。

8、 How to Succeed in the Interview
Nowadays, the interview has become indispensable in seeking a job. Its success will determine whether or not you will get the job you applied. Then how to succeed in a job interview?
There are many factors involved. According to psychologists,it depends more on the first impression you leave which is half a battle: how you look, how you sound and what you say are of great importance. In the first place, how you look makes up 55% of a first impression. This includes facial expressions, body language, and eye contact, as well as clothing and general appearance. Among those, clothing is the most important to show your respect to the interviewer and to leave the interviewer a good impression in the end. In the second place, how you sound makes up 38% of the first impression. This includes how fast or slowly, loudly or softly you speak. So make sure that you sound friendly, interested, confident and happy in answering any inquires in the interview. Finally, what you say counts for only 7% of the message. Therefore, attach more importance to your appearance and expressions rather than your words.
To conclude, no one can escape from the interview. Remember the above points, and you will succeed in the interview.

You should eat lots of fruit and vegetables,and drink lots of boiled water.You should do exercise .You should sleep at least eight in the evening,too.but you shouldn't drink coffee or tea before sleep,you shouldn't eat too many candies.You shouln't work or study too hart.

Many students do not have breakfast before they go to school.It's a quite bad habit and it's bad for your health.Maybe you don't have time to have breakfast but you couldn't learn well in your classes if you don't eat any thing .Keeping in a good health which can help you study well is very important.

  Believe it or not, almost everybody loves money. But money doesn’t mean everything. You can not fulfill your dream with money only. Money is only the means of exchange. We can hardly say money brings happiness. But without money we are certainly unhappy and can do nothing.
In this world people sell something for money. If you are a teacher, you can earn your life by selling knowledge. A worker sells his labor and a monk sells spiritual comfort for people’s lives. Even a beggar can sell something for money — he sells his dignity.

Usually we get the things we need by selling something. And the money we get differs according to the service we give. If the customers receive good service from us, they will pay us well. With this money we can buy the things we need. To be rich means you can buy almost everything you want. We are well-off when we are able to afford the things we need.

Quite a few think that they make more money to get more happiness. Some even say, “If I make one million dollars, I will be very happy and I can do whatever I like.” When they reach the goal, they find themselves unhappy. A great ancient Chinese thinker said, “Never be fettered by too much money nor be chopped by poverty. ” So I personally think a well-off life is an ideal one. A comfortable life is the most important.
