The one most widely accepted today is based on the 36 that drama evolved from ritual( 宗教仪式). The argument for this view goes as follows. In the beginning, human beings 37 the natural forces of the world—even the seasonal changes—as unpredictable, and they sought through various means to 38 these unknown and feared powers. Those measures which appeared to 39 the desired results were then kept and repeated until they changed into 40 rituals. 41 stories arose which explained or masked the mysteries of the rituals. As times passed, some rituals were 42 , but the stories, later called myths, continued to exist and provided material for art and drama. Those who believed that drama evolved out of ritual also argue that those rituals contained the 43 of theatre because music, dance, masks, and 44 were almost always used. 45 , a suitable site had to be provided for performances and 46 the entire community did not participate , a(n) 47 division was usually made between the “ area of acting “ and the “ area in which an audience sits ”. Besides, there were performers, and, since considerable importance was 48 to avoiding mistakes in the practice of rituals, religious leaders usually 49 that task. Wearing masks and costumes, they often imitated (模仿) other people, animals, or supernatural beings, and mimed (用哑剧表演出) the 50 effect—success in hunt or battle, the coming rain, the revival of the Sun— 51 an actor might. Eventually such dramatic representatives were separated from 52 activities. Another theory traces the theater’s origin from the human interest in 53 . According to this view , tales about the hunt , war or other things are told and gradually spread. 54 through the use of action and dialogue by a narrator and then through the assumption of each of the roles by a different person. It won an Oscar in 2006, and if you watch it, you’ll understand why. It’s an absolutely brilliant cartoon comedy. Cheese-loving inventor Wallace and his brainy dog Gromit have started a company to protect the town’s vegetables from hungry rabbits. However, just before the annual Giant Vegetable Competition, an enormous rabbit begins terrorising the town. It is attacking all the vegetables and destroying everything in its path. The competition organizer, Lady Tottington, hires Wallace and Gromit to catch the monster alive. But they will have to find the were-rabbit before gun-crazy hunter Victor Quartermaine who is desperate to kill it. The screenplay is witty and full of amusing visual jokes. As usual, the voice of Peter Sallis is absolutely perfect for the role of Wallace, and Gromit is so beautifully brought to life, he can express a huge range of emotions without saying a word. And both Helena Bonham-Carter, who plays the part of Lady Tottington, and Ralph Fiennes as Victor are really funny. To sum up, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is an amazing film which is suitable for both children and adults. If you liked Wallace and Gromit’s previous adventures and you appreciate the British sense of humour, you’ll love this film. Don’t miss it! 56.According to the film review, “monster” (paragraph B) refers to ______. A.a gun-crazy hunter B.a scary rabbit C.a brainy dog D.a giant vegetable 57.Which of the following is a reason why the writer recommends the film? A.It’s full of wit and humour. B.Its characters show feelings without words. C.It is an adventure film directed by Peter Sallis. D.It is about the harmony between man and animals. B Babies, soft, delicate things that they are, typically spend their waking hours surrounded by items of equal softness. When it comes to sleeping , though, to cover a baby in all that softness can be a dangerous choice. Putting infants(婴儿) to bed with blankets and pillows has been linked to sudden infant death syndrome(SIDS), one of the leading causes of infant deaths in the U.S. Even so, more than half of American babies still sleep with unsafe bedding, according to a report published in the journal Pediatrics. “Parents have good intentions but may not understand that blankets, quilts, and pillows increase a baby’s risk of SIDS and accidental suffocation(窒息),” Carrie Shapiro-Mendoza, the study’s lead author, said in a statement. While overall rates of SIDS have decreased in recent years, from 66.3 deaths per 100,000 infants in 2000 to 52.7 in 2010, deaths from sleep suffocation have more than doubled over the same time period. The American Academy of Pediatrics(APP) first recommended that infants sleep on their backs in 1992. In 1996, the AAP declared that sleeping areas should be “free of soft surfaces and gas-trapping objects.” Three years later, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a safety warning that babies should be placed to sleep on their backs on a firm, tight-fitting mattress(床垫) in a crib(婴儿床) that meets current safety standards and that pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins, and other pillow-like soft products should be removed from the crib. According to the most current guidelines from the National Institutes of Health(NIH), the safest way for a baby to sleep is alone in a crib, on its back, on a firm mattress covered only by a fitted sheet. Often, though, the safest method isn’t the one that parents see. “Parents get a lot of mixed messages about how to put their infants to sleep,” Shapiro-Mendoza told The New York Time. “A relative will give them a quilt or a furry blanket than they may feel obligated(有义务的) to use, or they look at magazine and see a baby sleeping with a pillow.” “Media messages targeted toward mothers of infants or would-be mothers may also be related to the high popularity of using certain types of bedding,” the researchers wrote, “Seeing images such as these may strengthen beliefs that having these items in the infant sleep area is not only a favorable practice, but also the norm. ” 58. According to the passage, what do parents usually do? A. Put babies to bed with pillows. B. Let babies sleep on their backs C. Let babies sleep alone in a crib. D. Follow the current guidelines of the NIH. 59. What do researchers suggest parents do? A. Parents should get used to- 配套讲稿:
