Less than 60 percent of students now entering four­year American colleges are likely to graduate.The completion（完成） rate is lower than that of almost any other wealthy country.
On last Tuesday President Obama gave a nationally broadcast speech to students about the importance of staying in school.He spoke on the first day of classes at a high school in Virginia.He talked about personal responsibility(责任),and used himself as an example of someone who overcame difficulties.

Listening to music can help me focus better. Since I discovered it two years ago, I’ve used music to get through boring work or to focus creatively. I’ve found that it can make even the dullest jobs enjoyable and help clear mental blocks(障碍) to creativity.

Every month, Julia and her cousins would go to visit their grandparents. They would be excited because their grandfather would give them a few coins. Then they would buy toys or sweets.
