Let’s have part-time job
According to a recent survey, 55 percent of students in major cities think working part-time is beneficial while the rest consider it a waste of time. In my opinion, part time jobs cannot only help us reduce our parent’s financial burden, but also offers us an opportunity to improve our time-management capacity, more importantly it prepares us for future job hunting.
First of all, we can manage to support ourselves through working part-time, be it tutoring or other public services industries which college students can have easy access to. We can learn to be independent and understand the hardship our parents have undergone to give us a better life. Second, there is no denying that doing part-time jobs will take us some time and presumably our study hours will have to be reduced. But it on the other hand requires us to improve our efficiency. Last but not least important, the experience of working part-time enables us to practice what we have learned in the textbook and gain a better understanding of it.
In a word, having a part-time job while studying is beneficial to our school life and future career. Therefore, university students should embrace the opportunities and improve themselves.

I Prefer Eating at Home
Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. In my case, I believe it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home.
First of all, while eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. It ususally costs over twenty dollars for a teo-person meal at a restaurant. And actually I can buy a lot of groceries with that sum of money. Second, eating at home is good for our health. Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve in big plates- much more food than we need. If we cook food at home, we can have more control over the ingredients. Third, it is true that eating out is convenient. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that are not time-consuming at all. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table, waiting for service, and driving home.
Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satistying. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health considerations.

3、 Study abroad is popular with the student. What’s your view on this phenomena.

Benefits of Studying Abroad
Nowadays studying abroad has come into a fashion. Each year thousands of students and scholars fly to foreign countries. Many people are keen on going abroad, especially to America, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Thus the numbers of people who take GRE, TOFEL, IELTS are also on the increase.
Attending schools abroad has a lot of benefits. At the beginning, many foreign universities can offer better study conditions and have more advanced teaching equipments, so we can learn much more advanced knowledge of science and technology. Moreover, students who study abroad have the chance to get in touch with people from various countries; hence they can serve as mediators between peoples of different cultures so as to promote international understanding. Last but not least important, international vision has become a basic equipment for career building and studying abroad can certainly contribute to it.
However, studying abroad also present some disadvantages. Living cost is so high that many students can not put all the heart into study.In spite of this, the advantages overweigh disadvantages. So it is recommendable to study abroad but the most important is that we should make contribution to our motherland after we finish our study.

The most important characteristics of a co-worker
With the development of society as well as subdivision of labor market, we have more chances to work together with others. Accordingly, good co-workers are more desired than before. I have found the following characteristics common in good co-workers.
A good co-worker is very cooperative. He always tries his best to get along with others by keeping his end of things flowing smoothly to help others in the office. He realizes that if one person doesn’t get his work done, it can hold up everyone else. A good co-worker is adaptable. He is not stubborn about changes in schedules or routines, and doesn’t object to having her description revised. A good co-worker is helpful. He pitches in when someone falls behind in his or her work. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. He doesn’t mind working extra hours as long as others need him. A good co-worker is a sympathetic listener, and never uses what he learns against people.

I prefer studying with others
Everyone has his own studying habits—be it in a group or by oneselfe. In my case, I prefer studying with others due to the benefits of group work.
First of all, studying with others is a good way to share information and broaden our vision. If we work a group of classmates on an assignment, it is almost for sure that we can come up with the most comprehensive idea for the simple fact that everyone’s contribution can make up for the aspects that might have been missed if we work alon. Second, one tends to behave himself in front of others and he is more likely to concentrate. Last but not least important, studying with others can prepare us for future job and cooperation with others. We need to cultivate our team-work spirit at school. To work out an assignment or project, every team member has to make his own contribution and efforts should also be made to cooperate and negotiate among team members in order to reach an agreement, that’s exactly what the future job would require us to do.
For the above reasons, I prefer working with others and develop team-work spirit.

On choosing careers
On choosing a career, parents generally believe that it is their responsibility to choose carers for their children. They claim that they know their children well enough to decide what kind of jobs fit them. Holding that their children are too young to understand the society and life, many parents insist that their children should obey them in absolute terms.
But many children suggest that they should be left free to choose their own careers. For one thing, parents and children may not share the same interests. A job that appeals to parents is likely to be boring for their children. For another, children have grown in a different social environment from that of their parents, therefore, they should be allowed to cultivate a spirit of independence and self-reliance. In short, children should be free to make their own decisions with regards to future careers.
In this case, mutual understanding is important. On the one hand, it is only natural for parents to take care of their children, but on the other hand it is, after all, the children who will do the job, thus their ideas should be the top concern.

7、 Money is not the most important aspect of a job. Do you agree with the statement?

Money is not the most important aspect of a job
There are many factors when we decide what career to pursue and which job to take. Some would say that money is the most important aspect of a job, but I believe there are some other aspects which are more important.
First of all, we should follow our interest. It is most desirable if we can go to work full of expectation every morning. Nothing is more miserable than dreading to work every day. Second, our job should give us a tense of personal satisfaction. We all want to realize our value through working and contributing. Finally, our job should allow us to live a balanced life. It should not be so time-consuming that we have no time for family, friends and personal interests. Nor should it give us so much pressure that we cannot relax in our free time.
There is no denying of the significance of money in today’s society, but money should not be our top priority. Job is not only a source of money, it should also be source of happiness, sense of fulfillment and a balanced life.

Advantages of the internet
Surfing on the Internet has become a buzzword, especially among young people who are always ready to embrace new technology and ideas but also who are vulnerable to resist temptations. There is no denying that the Internet, like many things has two sides – the negative being a channel to spread unwanted information and an occupying hobby for students.
I believe the above-mentioned accusation is not the fault of the Internet; rather it is the fault of the users. The advantages of the Internet are distinct. The Internet, one of the most influential inventions is the 20th century changed our life in a fundamental way. First of all, the information on the Internet and its searching function offers us the best ever opportunity to learn from the past and explore into the unknown world. Second, the world becomes much “smaller” with the possibility of instant communication with whoever you want.
In a word, the most prominent advantage of the Internet is that it opens up indefinite possibilities for users and it shortens the distance between people and gap between countries. However, it is worth pointing out that conscientious and cautious efforts should be made for the application of the new technology and for its service for people.
