There be ...句型表示的是“某处有某物”
1.肯定句式：There + be动词 +某物+地点
（1） 如果句子的主语是单数的可数名词，或是不可数名词，be动词用“is”。
There is a tree on the mountain.山上有一棵大树。
(2) 如果句子的主语是复数名词，be动词就用“are”。
There are two erasers in my pencil box.
我的铅笔盒里有两块橡皮.
there be 句型的否定句:在 be 动词后加not
肯定句 ：There is a river in the village. 村子里有一条河。
否定句 ：There is not a river in the village.村子里没有一条河。
肯定句 ：There are two pencils in the box.盒子里有两支铅笔。
否定句 ：There are not two pencils in the box.盒子里没有两支铅笔。
（3） there be 句型的一般疑问句:be 动词提前
肯定句 ：There is a river in the village.村子里有一条河。
一般疑问句 ：Is there a river in the village？村子里有一条河吗?
肯定回答：Yes, there is.
否定回答：No, there is not. →No, there isn’t.
肯定句 There are two pencils in the box. 盒子里有两支铅笔。

1. across from
across from在……的对面；在……对过。
例如：
The hospital is across from the supermarket. 医院在超市的对面。
辨析：across与through
across表示的是从某物的一边到另一边;指从表面上横过。
例如：
She ran across the road. 她从马路上跑过。
through表示从内部通过，有“穿过，透过”等意思。
例如：

2. in front of
in front of是介词短语表示“在......前面”，of的后面经常用名词或者代词表示地点。
