Vaccination is the most economic and effective usage of vaccine on prevention and control of the infectious diseases and it’s also an important measure to protect children’s health. Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases of P.R。C。 and The Ordinance of the Management of Circulation and Vaccination of Vaccines set regulations: The nation practices planned vaccination system； The nation applies the vaccination system on children; the vaccination listed in the national immunization program is free; the custodian should cooperate with the vaccination unit to guarantee the child to take the timely vaccination。 Therefore， the custodians of children please assist us to complete the vaccination work. The details are as follows：
1. The custodian should transact the vaccination certificate at the immunization site of the registered permanent residence or current residence within a month after the child’s birth so that the site can establish the vaccination card for your child in time and make vaccination arrangements。 There’s no charge of the card for the first transaction。
2. This certificate is an effective evidence of your child’s vaccination records. The nation regulates that all the nurseries and schools have to check it during enrollment procedures. You should apply for a new one instantly if any damage or loss occurs.
3. Please bring this certificate every time and arrive at the appointed site on time as informed or appointed。 The doctor of immunization should make clear records in it.
4. Please show this certificate for the check of the relevant departments initiatively。
5. Different vaccines implemented under various vaccination requirements, the custodian should have the child taken the vaccination under the immunization procedures， vaccination instructions and implementation measures stipulated by the nation.
6. Vaccines listed in the national immunization program or added by the province during the implementation are free to children； vaccines not listed in the program can be taken voluntarily according to suggestions or measures issued by the national or provincial health administration department； fee is charged as Price Control Bureau regulates.
7. Which kind of children cannot take the vaccination？
(1) General principles
1) Children suffering fever， cough， diarrhea and other acute diseases or being in an acute attack of chronic disease, the vaccination should be taken after the recovery。
2) Children with history of bronchial asthma, allergies to medications or food， vaccination can be taken after consideration of the allergen。
3) Children with immunization defects or is taking the immunosuppressant cannot take vaccination of the live vaccines, which can be taken four weeks later after injecting gamma globulin。
4) Children cannot take the vaccines which lead to allergies in the past.
5) Children with sequela of epilepsy， encephalopathy, encephalitis cannot take the vaccination of pertussis, epidemic meningitis， encephalitis.
6) Patients of chronic but serious diseases should postpone or not to be vaccinated。
(2) Please see the vaccine instruction for various contraindications of vaccines.
8. Before the vaccination， custodians should inform doctors of real recent health conditions, histories of vaccination and allergies of children, histories of epilepsy， encephalitis， convulsion or allergy of family members。 Please notify doctors the type of the vaccine， cardinal symptom and onset time of any abnormal reaction occurs。
9. Children can leave if there's no reaction 15 minutes later after the vaccination。 Someone may suffer general reactions like local swelling, fever, fatigue， discomfort, anorexia, etc. Few may undergo allergies. Generally, they will recover automatically。 Please take nursing care and observation, go to see a doctor timely for any discomfort.

1. What is Vaccination?
