Students are evaluated according to their performance on General PE or an integration of Option PE, PE theories, health standard and PE clubs。 It provides a more detailed knowledge and skills of a specific sport。 It introduces the principles and methods of exercise。 The purpose is to help the students to exercise in a scientific way. 2. Name of Course: Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Important Thought of Three Represents Credits: 4.0 Hours: 72 Course Description: The course focuses on the process that Chinese Communist Party's combining the basic theories of Marxism with China's reality, which has fully reflected the three major theoretical results by using the Marxism in China。 The course helps students to systematically master Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the basic principles and main content of the "Three Represents” important thought, to strengthen the ideals and beliefs of following the socialist road with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. 3. Name of Course: Fundamentals of Computer Applications Credits: 4.0 Hours: 72 Course Description: This course is for non computer majors。 It consists of two parts: theories and practical application。 The former one which introduces basic concepts, principles and techniques of computer to students is compulsory and taught by teachers. The latter one which is about the manipulation of computer, is optional but must be included in the final test. 4. Name of Course: Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Basis of Law Credits: 3.0 Hours: 54 Course Description: The first part of the course is helping the students to foster a correct world outlook and correct views on life and values, offering answers to various kinds of problems concerning morals and ethics raised by college students at the turning-point of their life, improving students’ ability of identifying and rejecting faulty trends of thought, dealing with setbacks and adapting to a new environment, cultivating their moral integrity and norms of conducts, and enhancing their skills in coping with various conflicts and problems occurring from studies, daily life, job-choosing and friends-making, etc。 The secondary part of the course focuses on the expatiation upon general principles of law as well as the socialist laws, introducing to the basic knowledge concerning Chinese constitution, administrative law, civil law, etc, in order for students to have an general understanding of the Marxist law and the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics, to grasp the essence of Chinese constitution and general law, to acquaint themselves with some knowledge about civil obligations and rights, and to further accommodate themselves to the legal society。 5. Name of Course: College English I II Credits: 16.0 Hours: 288 Course Description: This course is designed for first year student . Its contents include intensive reading, extensive reading, grammar, listening, writing, etc. With the help of this course, college students are expected to arrive at College English Test - 4 and Test-6 in terms of English proficiency level 6. Name of Course: Advanced Mathematics C Credits: 5。0 Hours: 81 Course Description: Advanced Mathematics is aim to help the students establish a solid foundation of mathematics and introduces the applications of mathematics in physics. Name of Course: Economic Law Credits: 2.0 Hours: 36 Course Description: Economic Law is a basic important course in a college or a university, especially for the economics major and management major。 It includes all of the laws and regulations referred to market economy, such as business organizations, including corporation law, partnership and other enterprise, contract law, finance law, intellectual property rights law, litigation and arbitration law and so on. This course is designed to familiarize individuals with current and emerging electronic commerce technologies. Name of Course: Basic Accounting Credits: 3。0 Hours: 45 Course Description: This course is to introduce the basic concepts of accounting;Accounting equation;Double entry system;Accounting Cycle;Accounting element;Financial reports;Financial analysis. Through learning this course, students can systematically grasp basic theories, methods, and techniques of accounting and deeply understand the importance of accounting in economy development. The course will cover the law of comparative advantage, the gains from trade, the Ricardian model, the Heckscher—Ohlin theory, the standard and alternative trade theories, international factor movements, and trade polices such as tariff and non—tariff barriers. Course will cover all four language skill areas within a business context, how to adapt material for various language levels, and how to prepare to teach a Business English class。 Participants will become familiar with resources and materials for Business English。 15。 Name of Course: The Principles of Management Credits: 2。0 Hours: 36 Course Description: This course introduces students to the concept of a business as an integrated set of business processes and associated systems designed to deliver value to customers。 Students will learn the terminology, concepts, and theories that provide an understanding of how to align processes with business strategy and operational objectives, design the physical aspects of processes to satisfy customer requirements, ensure the process is executed as intended, measure and monitor the execution of the process and react to less than desired results, and implement accepted practices for consistent and sustained efforts。 Students will examine various techniques that will assist in achieving optimal business results. Topics include enterprise models, value chain network, strategic capacity planning, break—even analysis, production— and service—oriented process analysis, tracking and forecasting methods, strategic sourcing analysis, process flow measures, six sigma, lean synchronization, and constraint management。 16. Name of Course: Marketing Credits:3。0 Hours: 54 Course Description: This course lays a basis for the study of major directional courses and systematically introduces basic theoretical framework of marketing。 It is an applied science based on economic science, behavioral science, and modern management。 It studies the marketing activities and the law of marketing on the basis of meeting the needs of customers。 Its major contents are: basic theories of marketing, elaboration on the nature of marketing, management idea of marketing, traits of conSubtotaler market and organization market; marketing environment and strategy, elaboration on analysis of marketing environment, marketing research and need prediction, market segmentation strategy, target market selection strategy, and positioning strategy respectively; marketing mix theory, to systematically elaborate on the principles and planning process of product tactics, positioning tactics, distribution tactics, and promotion tactics; and marketing planning, organization, implementation and control process, etc。 17. Name of Course: Oral English I II Credits: 8.0 Hours: 144 Course Description: This course recognizes that university students, with their many years of grammar training, have the language ability to begin a more rapid development of their English proficiency. Students studying this course will interact with classmates in a variety of communicative activities: problem solving, role-play, discussions (pairs, small groups, whole class), interviews, story telling and description。 Its intent is to present oral English in a meaningful way, to give students systematic training on different functions of English expression and to arouse students' interests in speaking English.
