The story of Chinese Zodiac（十二生肖的故事）
旁白：Long, long time ago, people always forgot in which year they were born and could not figure out exactly how old they were. The Jade Emperor（玉皇大帝） came up with an idea.

玉皇大帝：It’s too difficult to remember a year. It would be easier to remember an animal. Why don’t we choose twelve animals to represent the years?
旁白：The Jade Emperor asked the Earth God to tell every animal。How to be chosen as one of the animals for the twelve signs of the zodiac。
玉皇大帝：All animals are wele to pete. The first twelve animals across the finish line will be chosen as the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac。
旁白：After the announcement, all the animals got very excited and everyone was talking about the race。At that time, the cat and the rat were very good friends. They met to discuss the race。
老鼠：We can’t swim. How are we goanna cross the river?
猫：Let’s join the ox, We can point the way and he can carry us across the river.
旁白：The cat and the rat went to see the ox.
猫和老鼠：We want to join in the race. But we can’t swim, Would you please take us to cross the river?
牛：Of course. I can swim. You can jump on my head or my ears , then we can cross the river together. What are you waiting for? Let’s go quickly!

旁白: The day of the race soon came. Early that morning, before the rooster woke up, the ox, the cat and the rat were already at the riverside.

老鼠：（把猫推下了水，跳下牛耳朵。很快的冲向红线）:Lazy cat! I am the first ! Run…… Yeah! I am the first one , Winer.
牛：（爬上岸，快速的冲向终点，到了终点很生气的看着老鼠）: You are not true friend . You are not honest. I don’t want to make friend with you !
旁白:So the ox became the second ！Then next one came the tiger.
老虎：（快速的奔跑穿过终点，咆哮）：I am the first, right? I am the kind of the forest. I am strong, I am brave, I have power.
玉皇大帝：（微笑摇头）：No, you are the third.
老虎：（生气的大叫）：Why I am not the first !
旁白: A whirlwind came in the sky as the dragon arrived. The rabbit was ing!
龙：（做飞行状，快速的拍动翅膀向终点飞去，边飞边说）：I can fly and host a rainmaking . I must be the first one .look at me ! I am powerful.
兔子：（低头使劲跑，在龙之前超过了终点）：I am the fourth. I can’t swim, so I jumped across the river on the backs of the other animals. If I can swim I must be the first , may be second, third!(转身指着龙说)But now I am fourth .I am faster than you .Haha
玉皇大帝：You could fly. Why did you arrive so late?
龙：I had gone to the South China Sea to host a rainmaking ceremony and rushed back in a hurry but was too late。
旁白：The horse was dashing at full speed, but as he was about to cross the finish line, the snake suddenly shot through to e in sixth.
马：（奋力向前冲）：I am ing! Jiajia…… I swim slowly, though I run fast , I don’t catch the first one. But I am sixth……No ,no, stop…...what happened?
蛇：（身体一缩，向前一跃，穿过了终点）Aha , I am sixth. But I lose my legs , I raced so hard, I ran my legs off.(扭动身躯着急的说)：I lose my legs. From now on ,I must climb on the floor when I am walking.
旁白：Working together, the goat, the monkey and the rooster rowed on a log.
羊：I am soft, mie mie........I can’t run fast and can’t swim. I need help.Monkey and rooster ,thank you very much. Numbers by yourselves.
猴子：I am gentlemen . Numbers are not important for me ! Goat and rooster ,you can choose first.
大公鸡：Wowo....... I am nice rooster. But I only can crow everyday. I can’t swim . Run slowly . I am not tall. So I will be the tenth.
猴子：I am not tall, I am the ninth.
大公鸡：I am the tenth.
旁白:As a result, they earned themselves eighth, ninth, and tenth places respectively. Then came the dog. He was a playful fellow.
狗：Oh , no . I play in the water for a long time. I swim in the river, It’s cool, I feel good! So I am late for race. I am eleventh.

猪（慢慢吞吞的出现在了终点，笑眯眯的说）：I’m starving, Is there any food to eat here? I am hungry and thirsty. It’s too hard to run . Tired! (看看四周的动物)，Oh ，I am last one ! I am the twelfth. Haha
旁白：The race was over. The Jade Emperor at once announced the places of the twelve animals in the zodiac. At that time, the cat arrived dripping wet.
猫:(湿漉漉的跑到终点)：What is my place?
玉皇大帝：You came in thirteenth。
猫： You are bad rat! I won’t spare you! （猫扑上去追咬老鼠）。
