Step one(第一步) Lead In（导入）

Step two(第二步) Pre-reading Tasks:
1、Listening Tasks, try to guess Why Don’t You Join Me at the Gym Sometime?
2、Try to guess what the story is about.

Step three (第三步) Analysis of the Structure of Text:
1、Read the text as quickly as possible, finish the comprehension excises part A.
2、Summarize the text with one or two sentences.
3、Ask students to divide the text into three parts according to three key words and three questions I provide.

Step four（第四步）Analysis of Language Points
1、In-class activities: Divide students into three groups which are named by three key words of each paragraph: gym /work out /Future Activities.Ask each group to read text, especially the part that corresponds to each group and voice the difficult words and structures they find in each paragraph.
2、Teacher’s Explanation of language points:
gym n. a special hall or room with equipment for doing physical exercise 体育馆

2、Match their names with the photos and tell their occupations.

1、From the pictures, try to guess the relationship between Charles M.Schultz and Snoopy and get more information about Charles M.Schultz by completing a profile.
2、Try to guess what the story is about.
